My love affair with art began when I was a child. My parents always encouraged me, but it was my grandma, who shared my love of creating, that really nurtured my creative spirit. When I earned 1st place in a student exhibition at the local museum, it was the highlight of 2nd grade for me...well, that and when my crush kissed his jacket and wiped it on my shoulder, but I digress. My contribution to the exhibition was a Native American collage portrait, created by painstakingly cutting and gluing hundreds of tiny pieces of paper together. Both portrait and blue ribbon are long gone, but my love affair with art is as strong as ever.
My artwork is deeply personal to me. It’s inspired mostly by my grandma, rooted in my faith, and a source of great joy. I am truly blessed to make a living doing what I love. Most days you'll find me covered in paint and glitter, probably with a big dopey smile on my face... and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
